Special Delivery
The Special Delivery Exhibition is a project that I did in March of 2019 where I went around the country leaving artwork in different locations. Photographers Will Malone and Jet Smith accompanied me during different sections of the trip for photos and documentation. The cites that we visited were Nashville, D.C., New York, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, L.A., Santa Fe, and Austin, TX. Special Delivery challenges the value of art. In retrospect it was more of a quest for recognition and one of desperation. What I do is good and my art deserves recognition, so I decided to make my own exhibit. I traveled around the United States and did just that. Also know that you don’t need the approval of the art world to determine the quality and worth your art. Most of the artists who are famous and well-known were not accepted by the art world either. The art world has a consistent history of being wrong. What matters is that you stay true to who you are and the art that you make.
